1926 Model T Ford

This car is family owned since originally purchased in 1926.  It is a one owner car only handed down 4 times throughout the family history. It was recently looked at and started my a Model T specialist.

  • This is a very authentic 1926 Ford Tudor Model T Ford.  The Body is all 100% original.  The existing motor is period correct and the number matching motor is included with the sale of the car. With very little maintenance the car can be used as a daily driver.
  • The upholstery was redone in probably the 1950's and looks to be in fair condition. The soft top and head liner remain in very good condition and requires no rework.
  • The car was used in its most recent history in Paola/Louisburg parades although that was many years ago.
  • The body wood and top are all in excellent shape and does not require any replacement.  A real savings and benefit if the car is ever restored.  Another reason this car can remain as a very near original car as a solid daily driver - and really should remain in this condition to preserve its history.
  • The car does have a few nice accessories which include a steering wheel that is all hand crafted wood with a locking device to prevent theft. There is also an outside oil line to supply the cam shaft gear and front main bearing with additional oil directly from the splash system in the transmission.  The transmission cover includes an air vent with an oil distribution panel for placing lubrication on all three transmission bands. Also included as an accessory is a period correct and well-functioning water pump.
  • The wire wheels are all in excellent shape and requires no repairs.
  • The motor, which had not been run since the 1960's or 70's was fired up in just over one hour.  The compression seemed good in all cylinders, and the motor performs well without any knocks or major issues.  The generator, starter and water pump are all in good condition. The transmission drums, bands,  and planetary gears seem to be in good shape.  The transmission requires no overhaul and the magneto shows to be generating a very good alternating current reading.
  • There is no noise at all in the rear differential.
  • A very period authentic T with a clear line of ownership since 1926.
  • This is very much as an authentic Model T that you will find.
